random pictures of the boys being cute

Erik with his basket of books.

"The Jolly Barnyard." Good choice.

Of course he spends a good amount of time on the duck page.

He looks like he is smiling, but really, he's quacking. :)

I honestly don't know what David is doing in this picture.

But he likes it.

He is such a lounging time bunkin.

I think in this picture, he is having some deep thoughts. Probably about cows and ducks.

Family Home Evening Blog

Steve and I really want FHE to be something we do consistently with our family, but up until a few months ago, we weren't doing so well. I just had such a hard time coming up with ideas that would work for kids that were really young. I asked a friend of mine what she does for family home evening with small kids. She gave me some great ideas, and after talking, she said there really should be a blog for FHE lesson ideas for young children. So we decided to start one. :) We have 14 authors so far, and the blog is going really well. Feel free to check it out.

The Twins - Then and Now

As the boys passed the 18 month mark, I've been reflecting on how much they've grown in such a short time. So I decided to do a few "then and now" posts to see how the two sweetest babies have turned into the two sweetest, almost-big-boys.

Is this like a blog version of a clip show? Oh, well. :)

David and Erik as tiny newborns. We used to call them our baby burritos.

Erik and David at 6 months. They were just learning to sit on their own, but they already loved each other.

David and Erik on their first birthday!!!

And here they are at 18 months. They are just the cutest and sweetest boys any parents could ask for. We love you bunkins!!!

Erik - Then and Now

My baby Erik as a newborn baby. This was the first time I got to hold him. His mouth looks a little funny from the tape that held on his oxygen.

Erik at 6 months. He just learned to sit all on his own, and he's praying he doesn't fall over. :)

Erik on his first birthday! He already loves to read.

Erik at 18 months. He's such a sweet and happy boy!

David - Then and Now

My baby David as a brand new baby. This was the first time I held him.

David at 6 months rockin' his band!

David on his first birthday! What a cutie pie.

David at 18 months. So grown up!!!

The twins at the park

We have lots of parks near our home, and it is finally warm enough to go play at them again. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from last week's trip to the park.

We started out on the swings.

Wee!!!

We stopped for a drink.

Then it was time to play!

They did it again!

Ever hear the phrase "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me"? Well, shame on Mommy because I left the cereal on the table again, and of course the boys emptied it all over the floor. Daddy thought it was funny enough to take pictures of. I was pretty upset (at myself, mostly), but I'm glad he did because it is funny to me now.

Erik having his unscheduled morning snack. Please ignore the snot. He's teething.

David enjoying his spoils.

Oh, and apparently the bag is a fun toy too.

David ran off with the box to the kitchen to spread the Kix love (aka mess).
