Singing Time

We got this really great cd of children's music, and the babies just love it, (and so do I)! Here is a video of me singing along (poorly) while David and Erik laugh and dance. Enjoy.

(This will probably be the last video with bad resolution. Steve's dad got him a video camera for his birthday. YAY!)

Bye-bye Baby Bouncers

The boys have out grown their baby bouncer chairs. I packed them away yesterday with all of their newborn and preemie clothes (for the next baby/babies). It was kind of sad to think that they are too big for them, but as Erik successfully toppled out of his while he was strapped in, I just had to admit to myself that they outgrew them. These bouncers were a gift from a parent of twins in my class last year. They have helped us so much. The babies practically lived in these chairs for their first few months of life, and the boys ate their first taste of rice cereal in them too. The chairs even doubled as an ottoman while I nursed. So Amanda, if you follow our blog, THANK YOU! For fun I added some pictures of the boys in their chairs.

(For those of you who follow me on facebook, sorry for the repeat.)

David and Erik in their preemie clothes! They were so tiny and had such skinny little legs.

David and Erik all grown up. Check out their awesome hair!

Teeth

David and Erik both have teeth! Well, David only has one, but still. They are growing up so fast. They are both being little punks and refusing to drink from a bottle again, but if that's the worst thing in my life (and some days it is), then I feel pretty lucky. I've decided to try sippy cups instead. Right now they just play with them, but at least they don't scream when they see them. Also, both babies look really good as far as their skin is concerned, so I've been trying to eat dairy again. So far, so good. No more outbreaks of eczema. I'm hoping that they may have grown out of their allergy already, but I'm not pushing my luck. I'm still limiting dairy. But I must say that my cereal was extra delicious this morning with real milk. Yum! Other baby news is how mobile the boys are getting. They still don't crawl, but they roll over all the time, and they even choose to play on their tummies (something I had to make them do until now). Erik can also scoot on his bum. It's pretty slow, but it gets him where he wants to be. David is a rolly-polly. He can roll anywhere in the room, and he's getting pretty fast. Today he discovered the hanging blinds that cover our sliding glass door. I had to pull them back out of the way because no matter how many times I moved him, he kept finding his way back. His rolling never really seemed purposeful before, but I have to admit now that it is. Both babies also love "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," although they prefer Aunt Gi to sing it for them. As far as cute pictures for the week, Angee suggested trying to get their teeth. I tried. Here you go, Boo!

You'll have to look close to see David's tooth. It just barely came in on Tuesday. He's been really good and hardly fussy at all.

Erik's teeth were much harder to capture on film, but eventually he gave me a little grin. I just love his little hippo teeth!
