David's band came off for the last time today. At his exit appointment, the doctor asked if they could use him as an example baby because he got such good results and because he's so cute. I agreed, but after talking to my mom, I wish I had asked for a discount or something in return. :) Steve got a little sentimental last night as he was cleaning David's band because it was the last time he would do it. Both of us were worried he'd have a hard time adjusting to not wearing it (since he wore it 23 hours a day for 7 weeks), but he has been happy and smiley, and he's napping beautifully. Here are some before and after pictures that they took of his head (thanks Angee for helping me turn them into something I could post!), so you can see what a regularly shaped head he has now.
Before: Note how his forehead is higher on his right (our left).
After: Note the rice cereal still stuck to his nose. :)

After: Beautiful! Even his skin cleared up, and he got some hair too!

Kristi, I can truly appreciate good before and after pictures. In answer to your question, my baby that I had in August had to have Total Cranial Vault Reconstruction on March 4th. That was a bad deal. I'm sure glad it's over!! And I'm especially thankful to live by Primary Children's!!
